APU as a social projet,
brand and quality product
APU is a product that has intrinsic meaning to Peruvian culture and territory. In Inka culture, Los APUS are the gods of the mountain, sacred entities that represent a universal essence. The alpaca is considered a sacred animal in Andean culture, revered because it represented the Gold of the Andes with its precious fiber and their friendly behaviour toward man.
Only the emperor and the ancient high institutional ranks were allowed to use its very soft wool. Nowadays, the alpaca is considered a social animal, which has a tendency to live in herds and can be easily bred thanks to its docile nature. What is not known about alpaca is that its wool is among the FINEST IN THE WORLD thanks to a series of unique characteristics.
